Frome walk

The river frome is 18 miles long!!

Me and my family are going to walk it all in sections of 6 miles per day. We will do it every weekend in Covid lockdown!

There are lots of amazing sites to see like trees that have fallen over the frome and you can climb across them to get to the other side!!!

This is me having a lot of fun on a tree!!!

The walks are very fun so far. I can recomend the walks to anyone!!

River and lake activities

In normal life, every Saturday and Sunday there is a parkrun around Eastville park.

The one on saturday is the adult parkrun. It is 5km long (3.1 miles) 11y olds can run on there own. Any age under must be acomponied by an adult.

The other one is a junior parkrun on Sunday. It is only 2km (1.2 miles) 4y-14y can run and be timed.

Both parkruns start at 9 in the morning. the start is right in the park. If you are new they will explain everything.

The adult one goes round the lake and by the river.

Have fun (after lockdown)

Frome Fairies

Frome Fairies are a organisation made to help the lake and river. One of the things they do is clearing out the lake and river to make it cleaner. a whole motorbike was pulled out of the river!!!!!!

Andy Gee should get a lot of kudos. He pulled out the motorbike!!!

On their Facebook page there are cool videos and images. It’s worth checking it out!!
